Our IPL Program

Step 1: Cleansing

On the day of the treatment, the area to be treated will be cleansed to remove any makeup, oils or lotions that might interfere with the effectiveness of the IPL.

Step 2: Preparation

Shaving the treatment area to ensure the IPL targets the hair follicles rather than surface hair.

Step 3: Protective Eyewear

Both you and the practitioner will wear protective eyewear to shield your eyes from the light emitted during the treatment.

Step 5: Application

The IPL hand-piece is placed against the skin, emitting controlled pulses of broad-spectrum light. This light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicles, generating heat that damages the follicles and inhibits future hair growth.

Step 6: Treatment Area:

The practitioner will systematically treat the entire area, ensuring full coverage while targeting the unwanted hair follicles.

Step 7: Post-Treatment Care

After the session, we do icing and then apply sunscreen to the treated area.

Step 8: Sun Protection

Protect the treated area from sun exposure post-treatment to prevent complications and maximise the effectiveness of the IPL treatment.
